Congratulations to Richard Jenkins, our July 2019 Flatbed Driver of the Month.
Richard has been with P&S Transportation since October 2013 and has received consecutive Safety awards each year. He was awarded a 5-year Safe Driving award in October 2018.
Richard’s driver manager is Chadd Starkey. Chadd had this to say about Richard: “He is meticulous on his pretrip inspections, which has made him successful with all his DOT inspections. He is dedicated to doing his part for the company and his own safety on the road. He communicates any issues before they become a problem. He makes suggestions to better the safety of himself and others. He is detailed and thorough. He plans his trips to ensure safe, on-time delivery. And he is motivated and eager to do the best he can.”
Andy Overstreet in Birmingham Operations also contributed this about Richard: “I may not work with him on a daily basis but he is always willing to learn about what we are doing, along with teach/educate us about what he encounters on the road, which can be transitioned into what we do daily. The one thing that I am fully aware of between our conversations/visits, is that he is going to be a safe driver on the road. He is often on the forefront of making us, both operations and the group in safety, aware of problems, solutions, and recommendations that can make him and the fleet safer. Solely for Richard’s actions and attentiveness to safety and the well-being of his fellow drivers’ safety, I nominate him for driver of the month.”
