Flatbed Driver Jobs: We operate a large, modern flatbed fleet and welcome experienced drivers and those new to the industry. If you’re just getting started, our training program is designed to help you build the skills you need safely and confidently. If you already have experience, expect steady freight, reliable miles, and a team that truly has your back.
OTR & Regional CDL Class A Positions: For drivers who prefer over-the-road or regional assignments, we provide options that match your lifestyle. Our OTR positions offer coast-to-coast freight and steady mileage, while our regional routes are perfect for those seeking more frequent time at home.
What You’ll Need: Driver Requirements
To drive with P&S Transportation, you must meet the following requirements:
- 22 years of age or older
- Valid Class A CDL (commercial vehicle driver’s license)
- Six months of flatbed driving history involving some steel hauling and tarping experience (exception: no tarping experience required for drivers who will be pulling a Conestoga Trailer).
- At least one year of over-the-road (OTR) driving experience within the past five years.
- No history of failed drug screenings.
- No More than eight jobs in the last 3 years; 7 or 8 jobs will be reviewed for approval, but will not be eligible for SOB. Instead, they will receive $1k orientation pay.
- Able to pass DOT pre-employment physical and drug screening, and an agility test.
- Must complete a pre-employment physical exam and drug screening (per DOT 49 CFR Parts 40 and 391).
- Good roadside inspection (PSP) and MVR history that meet all of these qualifications:
- No DUI or DWI offenses listed within the last three years
- No more than three moving violations listed in the past three years.
- No more than one serious moving violation listed in the past three years.
- No more than one “at-fault” accident listed within the past three years.
- No DOT “at-fault” accident listed within the past year.
Competitive Pay and Driver Benefits
Sign-On Bonuses
Start your journey with us with a $5,000 sign-on bonus. If you already know someone who’s a great fit, you can earn an additional $3,000 when they join through our driver referral program.
Driver Compensation
With P&S, you’re not stuck with fixed mileage rates. Instead, company drivers earn 27% of the gross revenue from each load, so your pay directly reflects your effort and productivity. The harder and smarter you work, the more you take home.
The average pay for our drivers is $1,400–$1,600+ gross per week, which is paid out via direct deposit every Friday.
Detention Pay
We have an Auto Detention program in place for when the Customer does not pay detention:
- $16/hour after 2 hours
- The driver must arrive on time
- Arrival must be logged correctly in the system
Drive for Gold
This program allows active P&S drivers to earn exclusive rewards for taking quizzes and surveys, as well as watching training videos. You’ll receive points in your online account at www.driveforgold.com, where you can choose to redeem them or save them up for larger rewards.

Complete Benefits Package
Our employee benefits begin on the first day of the month after 31 days of employment. We offer the following as part of our benefits package that covers you on and off the road:

Weekends at Home
We respect your time at home as much as your time on the road. Our routes are designed to bring you back home every weekend, allowing you to have personal time and space and stay connected to your family and friends.
Occasionally, some of our drivers can return home during the week if loads allow for a 10-hour break.
Passengers and Pets Welcome
Drivers can bring one passenger 18 years or older and a pet (regardless of breed or size) along for free on their rides, provided you complete the rider form with the passenger(s)’ information and obtain supervisor approval.
Flex Dispatch
We’ll keep you going with steady freight, but we’ll never force loads on drivers. Whether you want to stay regional, run certain lanes, or prioritize time at home, you decide which loads you take and when.
