James W. has been selected as P&S Transportation’s October 2020 Flatbed Driver of the Month!
James has been a driver at P&S Transportation since February of 2011, and has consistently shown dedication to the safety of the equipment he operates, as well as running legally and making deliveries and pickups in a timely manner. James does an exceptional job at staying compliant on Hours of Service regulations and diligently works to ensure his electronic logs are legal and accurate. James also stays involved in safety by regularly completing monthly training on Drive for Gold.
James’ driver manager, Nate Smith, had this to say about him in his nomination: “I would like to nominate James “Waterdog” Wright for Driver of the Month. James consistently runs in a timely manner, and he has set himself apart for his willingness to help out on tough loads which are outside of his normal dedicated lane. He has repeatedly ventured out to help with trailers needing to be brought into Bridgeport, with covering HOT loads to Iowa, and with other high priority loads needing coverage into Illinois. James was also willing to commit to a potential dedicated run out of Iowa going into Nebraska, which would have eliminated his home time for a while, but he was still willing to commit because it brought peace of mind that the job would be done safely and correctly.”
“P&S has benefitted from his versatility and willingness to help in tough situations. His planners and driver manager enjoy working with him and he has likely improved our scorecards with some of our customers. James has been with P&S since 2011 and has received 7 Yearly Safety Awards in his time with us, clearly showing that safety is his top priority. James also demonstrates a great attitude and is a friend to everyone in the Nashville office.”
